Virgin Australia Celebrates Halloween with In-Flight Party

Virgin Australia passengers flying from Perth to Sydney were treated to a unique Halloween experience as the airline hosted its first-ever in-flight party in celebration of the spooky holiday. The Halloween night flight saw guests don ghoulish garbs and monstrous makeup, while enjoying an array of sweet snacks. To mark the rising popularity of Halloween in Australia, Virgin even slashed fares on selected flights, allowing loyal customers to book a one-way ticket for just 5,200 Velocity points for a limited time.

Before taking off, passengers and cabin crew were treated to a haunted hall experience in the transformed terminal. Sweet treats from Mars Wrigley, including M&M's, Milky Ways, and Maltesers, were served to set the eerie mood. Guests showed up dressed as vampires, zombies, devils, and witches, while flight attendants added creepy face paint and accessories to their uniforms.

Once the flight was airborne, the Halloween party continued with cabin crew members serving Mars Wrigley's fun-sized treats from cobweb-covered carts. In a bid to keep the festivities going, Virgin Australia invited its entire front-line staff to add a chilling touch to their uniforms for the next 24 hours.

Virgin Australia Chief Customer and Digital Officer, Paul Jones, expressed his excitement about sharing the holiday spirit with their guests and described the Halloween flight as one of their most memorable experiences. Richard Weisinger, Mars Wrigley Chief Halloween Officer, highlighted the significance of their involvement, as M&M's was the first chocolate brand to travel into space.

The airline has also announced a promotion with slashed pricing on selected domestic Economy Reward Seats, offering fares as low as 5,200 Velocity Points for bookings made within a specified period. Additionally, Virgin Australia has released an extra 600,000 Economy Rewards seats on both domestic and international routes operated by the airline.

With over 3.5 million Australians embracing Halloween festivities, Virgin Australia's Halloween flight epitomizes their commitment to creating unique and unforgettable experiences for their passengers. The combination of costumes, treats, and spooky decorations proved to be a memorable celebration for all those onboard.
