In an interview with OK! Magazine, the 34-year-old vet shares the name and birth story of their newborn daughter. Anastasia Maria was born on October 25th at 2:21 pm, weighing a healthy 7lb 9oz. The proud father describes her as a cheeky little girl who perfectly fills her name.

The couple chose the middle name Maria in honor of Katherine's grandmother, Eva Maria, who fled Germany as a young girl. Matt expresses his support for Katherine's decision to have a planned C-section, explaining that the birth went smoothly overall. There was a moment of concern when Anastasia had difficulty being delivered from the C-section wound, but all turned out well, and the new arrival is happy and healthy.

The news of their pregnancy was first shared on Instagram in June, with a photo of Matt, Katherine, and their dog Harris proudly presenting the ultrasound picture. The couple tied the knot last year in a ceremony attended by Matt's TV colleagues, which was later aired on the show.
