Telangana IT Minister and working president of BRS party, K Taraka Ramarao, strongly criticized Karnataka Deputy CM DK Shivakumar for his recent comments encouraging people from Telangana to visit Karnataka and witness the development and welfare being implemented by the Congress government in the state. KTR accused the Karnataka congress of incompetence, claiming that they have pushed the people of Karnataka into sheer darkness since being voted into power.
Speaking further, KTR pointed out the issues faced by Karnataka and questioned DK Shivakumar's decision to campaign in Telangana instead of focusing on the problems in his own state. He claimed that farmers from Karnataka have already arrived in Telangana to express their discontent with the current government. KTR asserted that Karnataka has been driven to bankruptcy within a year of Congress rule and warned that Telangana could face a similar fate if the Congress is voted to power in the state.
In response to KTR's criticism, DK Shivakumar expressed confidence that the Congress party would form the government in the upcoming Assembly polls in Telangana. He however did not disclose the exact number of seats they expect to win, stating that he would reveal it on his next visit. Shivakumar's statement came after addressing a poll rally in Telangana's Vikarabad, where he expressed optimism about the Congress' chances.
It remains to be seen how this exchange of words will impact the ongoing election campaign in both Telangana and Karnataka. With the polls looming, political leaders are leaving no stone unturned to gain support and sway public opinion in their favor. The people of both states will ultimately decide the fate of their respective governments based on these campaigns and the promises made by the political parties.
