Actor Sidharth Malhotra took to Instagram to express his unwavering support for team India despite their loss against Australia in the World Cup 2023 final. Sharing a picture on his Instagram stories, Sidharth captioned it, "Win or loose, it's always "India India" for us! Keep going stronger and congratulations on an outstanding tournament. #CWC2023Final."

The final match, held at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, saw Australia electing to bowl first. India managed to post a competitive total of 240 runs in their 50 overs, with commendable contributions from skipper Rohit Sharma (47 runs in 31 balls), Virat Kohli (54 runs in 63 balls), and KL Rahul (66 runs in 107 balls). However, Mitchell Starc (3/55) was the standout bowler for Australia, supported by Pat Cummins (2/34) and Josh Hazlewood (2/60).

In the chase, India had Australia in a precarious position at 47/3. However, outstanding innings from Travis Head (137 runs in 120 balls) and Marnus Labuschagne (58 runs in 110 balls) guided Australia to a six-wicket victory, leaving the Indian team struggling to find answers. Jasprit Bumrah took two wickets while Mohammed Shami contributed with one.

Travis Head was awarded the 'Player of the Match' for his brilliant century. Despite the loss, Sidharth Malhotra's support for team India remains steadfast.
