Robbie Williams, the 49-year-old hitmaker, has recently unveiled a collection of previously unseen photographs capturing his romantic trip to Morocco with his wife, Ayda Field. These snapshots were taken after the singer completed his second stint in rehab. In his Netflix docuseries titled after himself, Williams opens up about the early days of their relationship, including the difficult decision they made to temporarily part ways when he sought treatment for a prescription drug addiction back in 2007.
Following Williams' completion of rehab, the couple rekindled their romance and decided to embark on a trip together. The photographs showcase their time aboard a yacht, with Field donning a bikini, as well as their visits to some of Morocco's historic tombs.
In the series, both Williams and Field recount their unlikely first encounter while he was in the United States. Williams admits to relapsing into drug addiction during that period, and Field found herself in the role of caretaker when he fell ill after taking cocaine. Despite their initial differences, the couple found themselves drawn to one another during a car ride filled with laughter.
During this tumultuous period of addiction, Williams also struggled with suicidal thoughts, reaching a terrifying new low. However, with the intervention of his management, he decided to take a break from their relationship and enter rehab.
Despite the temporary separation, Field, who referred to Williams as her soulmate, fully supported his decision to prioritize his health and well-being. After completing his treatment and successfully getting clean, the couple reunited and further solidified their relationship.
Williams reflects on this period, remarking that it allowed for the strengthening of the bond between him and his future wife. The newfound space between his career and personal life provided him with the opportunity to fall in love.
In 2010, Williams and Field tied the knot, and they now have four children together. Their journey serves as a testament to the power of love and the ability to overcome personal struggles through support and perseverance.
