Mohamed Salah reaches 200-goal milestone, joins Shearer and Henry

Liverpool's Mohamed Salah achieved a major milestone in his English football career by reaching the 200-goal mark. The Egyptian forward scored twice in Liverpool's 3-0 victory over Brentford, placing the Reds level with Manchester City at the top of the Premier League table.

Salah's two goals against Brentford increased his tally at Liverpool to an astounding 198 goals and combined with his two previous strikes for Chelsea, the 31-year-old has now reached an impressive total of 200 goals for English clubs.

Additionally, Salah's remarkable goal-scoring streak at Anfield continued as he found the net in 14 of his last 15 league matches at home, including all six this season, accumulating a total of 17 goals.

By achieving this feat, Salah joined the elite company of former Arsenal forward Thierry Henry and Newcastle United legend Alan Shearer. He became only the third player in history to score or assist in 15 consecutive Premier League home games, showcasing his undeniable impact and skill.

Salah's prolific form is evident in his overall contributions this season, as he currently leads the English top-flight with the most combined goals and assists, standing at an impressive total of 14.

In the victory over Brentford, Salah opened the scoring in the 39th minute, brilliantly slotting the ball into the bottom left corner after receiving a pass from Darwin Nunez. He then added his second goal just after the hour mark, calmly finishing off a cross from Kostas Tsimikas at the back post.

Having spent only a brief period at Chelsea before moving to Roma in 2016, Salah has made a significant impact upon his return to the Premier League with Liverpool. Since then, he has consistently been one of the league's most reliable goalscorers, notching an astonishing 44 goals in his debut season and reaching the 30-goal mark in three subsequent campaigns.

With Salah's remarkable achievement, Liverpool's convincing win over Brentford places them level on points with Manchester City at 27 points, at least until City's match against Chelsea later on Sunday. As Salah's star continues to shine, the Egyptian phenom solidifies his position among the Premier League's all-time greats.
