Former Coronation Street star Catherine Tyldesley and her husband Tom Pitfield have decided to sell their luxurious four-bedroom detached house in the Greater Manchester area. The couple is asking for £875,000 for the immaculately presented property situated on a quiet, tree-lined cul-de-sac.
Recently embroiled in the infamous "Cakegate" scandal, Tyldesley has not disclosed her reasons for selling the mortgaged property or what her future plans entail. Land Registry records indicate that the couple initially purchased the house for £500,000 in May 2016.
Featuring stunning interiors and a single-story extension built at the rear, the house is described by estate agents as a beautifully designed family home finished to a high specification. The ground floor boasts a 36ft open plan dining kitchen with integrated appliances, a feature breakfast bar, skylights, and glass doors leading to the rear garden.
Additional features of the property include a living room with a feature bay window and media wall, a home office downstairs, electric security gates with video intercom entry, ample off-road parking on the driveway, and a front lawn. The rear garden offers privacy with mature hedges and fencing, a lawn area, a patio, and plenty of space for garden furniture.
Apart from her housing news, Tyldesley's company, Dreambig Productions, has recently faced financial challenges. According to the latest accounts, the company's net assets were a mere £112 as of July 2022, compared to £572 in the previous year. The company went through a name change to TP Media Group, suggesting increased involvement from Tyldesley's husband, Tom Pitfield, who is also a director.
The sale of Tyldesley's home comes on the heels of her involvement in the Cakegate scandal. The incident occurred when a bakery declined to provide free cakes for Tyldesley's planned 40th birthday party in exchange for social media promotion and exposure. The actress denied any knowledge of the request and criticized the bakery owner for seeking publicity. Following the controversy, Tyldesley cancelled her party, which was set to be attended by various celebrities.
As Tyldesley moves forward, the future holds new opportunities and a fresh start. Meanwhile, potential buyers have the chance to acquire a stunning property with exceptional design and features, as the actress bids farewell to her former abode.
