Brian Pillman Jr. shines in WWE NXT debut

In a highly anticipated debut, former AEW star Brian Pillman Jr. made his presence felt at WWE NXT's Halloween Havoc. After weeks of engaging vignettes, Pillman Jr. delivered a compelling first promo following his signing with WWE, setting the stage for his in-ring debut.

Pillman Jr., who is now known as Lexis King, showcased a commanding performance in his first televised match against Dante Chen. From the moment his music hit, King's presentation was on point as he made his entrance on a throne.

Once in the ring, King maintained control throughout the match, putting on an impressive display of skills. Although Chen managed to mount some offense, King remained dominant, securing a significant win in his first statement match in NXT.

The encounter began with King applying a lock on Chen's arm and wrist. Chen struggled to break free but eventually gained the upper hand, briefly turning the tables. However, King swiftly retaliated with a headbutt and a powerful kick to the stomach, followed by a punch to the face.

While Chen managed to block a suplex and counter another move, King's resilience proved too much. A double heel kick from the ground left Chen reeling, followed by a clothesline and a forceful chop from King. King then pressed his boot against Chen's face, asserting his dominance.

Throughout the match, King maintained a high level of intensity and delivered several impactful strikes. Chen fought back with punches, momentarily knocking King down. The resilient King quickly recovered, landing a brutal kick and an elbow to the back of Chen's head, regaining control.

Chen continued to battle, hitting a clothesline and an Atomic Drop, followed by a boot to the face. In a surprising turn of events, King retaliated with a powerful punch to the side of Chen's head. Taking advantage of the situation, King put Chen's feet on the ropes and executed a swinging DDT, securing victory.

Though the commentary team was unsure of the move's name, it proved effective as King celebrated his first official win in WWE NXT. With this impressive debut, King is off to a positive start and has undoubtedly caught the attention of the NXT faithful.

In addition to King's remarkable performance, Halloween Havoc Night 1 also featured other exciting matches such as the NXT Women's Championship match between Becky Lynch and Lyra Valkyria, and the Devil's Playground match between Roxanne Perez and Kiana James.
