Brazilian Influencer Luana Andrade Dies at 29 After Liposuction Surgery Complications

Brazilian influencer and reality TV star Luana Andrade has sadly passed away at the young age of 29 following complications from a liposuction surgery. The procedure took place at São Luiz Hospital in São Paulo, where Andrade was accompanied by her family during the operation. However, during the surgery, she experienced a sudden respiratory event and cardiac arrest, leading to immediate resuscitation by the medical team.

The hospital reported that the surgery was halted after Andrade was found to have a massive thrombosis, a condition characterized by blood clots forming within the veins. She was swiftly transferred to the intensive care unit (ICU) and provided with medication and hemodynamic treatment in an attempt to save her life.

Despite the dedicated efforts of the hospital staff, Andrade tragically did not survive and passed away on Tuesday morning at approximately 5:30 a.m. The cause of her death was identified as a massive pulmonary embolism, a severe complication of thrombosis where a blood clot obstructs an artery in the lung.

Known for her prominent presence on social media platforms, Andrade amassed a significant following of 558,000 on Instagram. She also gained recognition for her appearance on the sixth season of the Brazilian reality show Power Couple, where she competed alongside her boyfriend João Hadad.

Hadad, who had been in a relationship with Andrade for two years, shared a heart-wrenching tribute to his beloved girlfriend on his Instagram account. Accompanied by a black and white photo of them holding hands in Paris, he expressed his immense grief, stating, "I’m torn and living my worst nightmare. A piece of me is gone."

The funeral service for Luana Andrade took place at the Valle dos Reis Cemetery in São Paulo on Wednesday, where family, friends, and fans gathered to bid their final farewells. The tragic loss of this young influencer has left many in shock and mourning, as her presence and impact will be deeply missed by countless individuals.
