Senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader, Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi, has strongly criticized Congress general secretary Jairam Ramesh for his recent attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Ramesh had accused PM Modi of lying during his election campaign, stating that falsehood has become his character. In response, Naqvi hit back, questioning when Congress started giving character certificates, as their own character is tainted with corruption, communalism, and confusion.
Ahead of the upcoming assembly elections in Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Mizoram, and Telangana, the war of words between the BJP and Congress has intensified. With voting already completed in Mizoram and a portion of seats in Chhattisgarh, the remaining 70 seats in Chhattisgarh will go to polls on November 17. Madhya Pradesh will vote on the same day to elect its 230-member assembly, while Rajasthan will witness elections on November 25 and Telangana will vote on November 30. The counting of votes for all five states will take place on December 3.
