A married academic who played a crucial role in shaping South Australia's response to the Covid-19 pandemic has been cleared of allegations of sexual harassment. Dr Giang Thu Nguyen had sued Professor Joshua Ross and the University of Adelaide for $1 million, claiming that she was too intoxicated to consent to a one-night stand they shared after a conference in November 2019. However, the case was dismissed by the SA Civil and Administrative Tribunal, which ruled that Dr Nguyen had not proven that Professor Ross' conduct was unwelcome.
